Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Kyle Canales

I grew up in the small town of Rio, Wisconsin, about 30 minutes north of Madison. My journey into chiropractic began after I was involved in a car accident during high school. On the way home from a wrestling tournament, the vehicle I was riding in rolled several times. Fortunately, I wasn’t seriously injured, but I was sore enough that I needed chiropractic care for a few weeks.

I remember how quickly I started feeling better, and somewhere between those appointments, I had a simple realization: I could see myself doing this. From my junior year of high school on, I knew chiropractic was the career I wanted to pursue.

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater before continuing my education at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota, where I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Along the way, I developed a passion for helping people move better and stay active through every stage of life.

Reducing Pain and Improving Movement Through Chiropractic Care

My approach to patient care is centered around restoring proper function by addressing the joints, muscles, and nervous system together. I often tell patients that tight muscles are usually reacting to something else—they’re rarely “just tight” for no reason. By restoring proper joint movement and addressing the muscles that have been compensating, my goal is to help the body function the way it was designed to, reducing pain and improving movement.

You Don't Have to Live with Daily Aches and Pain

I especially enjoy working with active adults who have started to accept stiffness, tight muscles, or nagging aches as “just part of getting older.” One of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping patients realize that those everyday aches aren’t something they simply have to live with.

By addressing problems early, we can often help people stay active, protect their joints, and continue doing the things they love for years to come.

Curiosity in Life and in Practice

Outside the clinic, my wife and I stay busy with our young son, who arrived six weeks early and is now thriving.

We live on the west side of Wausau and enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, woodworking, making wine, tinkering on projects, and learning a new hobby whenever I get the chance.

I believe there’s always something new to learn, and that same curiosity and desire to keep improving is something I bring into my practice every day.
