Nerves

Common Nerve Conditions

The central nervous system controls everything in your body. It sends, receives, and interprets information from all parts of your body. When your spinal nerves or peripheral nerves are injured, your quality of life can be severely impacted.

Damage to your motor nerves (the nerves that control your organs, muscles, and glands) can result in weakness, paralysis, muscle shrinking, and muscle twitching. Damage to your sensory nerves (nerves that tell us how something looks, feels, or sounds), can cause pain, numbness, tingling, sensitivity, or burning sensations.

Often medical doctors treat issues of the nervous system by prescribing drugs that cover up the symptoms or block your body’s ability to feel pain sensations. Our treatments are different. We strive to get your nerves to function properly again, addressing the root cause of the problem to bring you lasting relief.

Common nerve conditions that we treat include:

  • Nerve entrapment syndrome and pinched nerves
  • Neuralgia, postherpetic neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia
  • Thoracic outlet syndrome

This is only a partial list of conditions that we are able to treat. If the condition that you have is not listed here, we encourage you to contact our office.
